Before the last update, when there was a problem with a client’s credit card payment going through there were clear messages explaining the problem. For example, “credit card is expired”, or “declined by processor”.
Now, there are vague and cryptic messages. Immediately after the update every time there was a problem it just said “do not honor”. Not sure what that meant, and support could not tell me what it meant, but it seemed to equate to “declined”. Frustrating that no one knew what was going on, and that it was so vague in the first place, but whatever.
But my new personal favorite error message so far, that I just got for the first time, is “request”.
I’m sorry, what? What exactly are we supposed to do with an error message that only says “request”? Am I supposed to call my prospective client and say hey there was an issue with your credit card, and when he asks what the issue is I’m supposed to tell him “request”?
I tried calling support today numerous times and no one was available.
I’m not trying to be rude, but it is incredibly frustrating to be trying to run a business day to day and run into error messages like that. Whoever is putting these updates together cannot possibly expect us to know what “request” means, and they cannot possibly think that it’s an adequate word to describe an error during a credit card transaction.
And I would’ve gladly searched this forum for an answer before posting this, just to see if perhaps this had already been reported, but it takes so long for this forum to load again each time I pull it up that it’s almost completely unusable as a resource.
